"No other disease or condition of companion animals takes as many lives as euthanasia. In fact, no other disease comes close."
~ Janet M. Scarlett, DVM, Ph.D, Cornell University

This quote drives the staff of Humane Ohio because we recognize the key to saving lives is prevention through spay/neuter.

This is why Humane Ohio is so focused in our mission. Humane Ohio started as a MASH program for cats only in July 2002 and opened our clinic serving dogs and cats in January 2006. Humane Ohio currently sterilizes an average of 8,000 dogs and cats annually and partners with over 24 rescue and shelter partners to provide lifesaving spay/neuter services to 6 counties in NW Ohio.

We have a staff of 10, including 3 licensed veterinarians, 4 registered veterinary technicians, and 3 office staff.
