Effortless Giving
Would you like to help Humane Ohio in a new way? Corporate matching and online shopping are ways to do so!
Corporate Matching
Ask your employer if they have a matching gift program
that will match whatever donation you and/or your colleagues
make to Humane Ohio!
Donation Canister Program
Small change can make a big change! Our donation canister program raises thousands of dollars a year, which helps us spay/neuter 14,000 animals annually and work towards a time when there are no more homeless pets. If you know someone who owns a business (or work at one) who would be willing to display one of our small, secure, locking canisters, please contact marketing@humaneohio.org.

Humane Ohio has teamed up with eBay and MissionFish to benefit from items being sold on eBay. An eBay seller can choose to donate a
certain percentage of their item's final selling price to a participating
non-profit like Humane Ohio and it's a tax deduction!
Before you
sell an item, go to missionfish.com,
register for a free seller account (must also have an eBay seller
account), select Humane Ohio as the beneficiary
and choose the portion (10% - 100%) of your item's final selling
price that you would like to donate. Your item will be listed on
eBay with the eBay "Giving Works" icon so shoppers know the sale of the item benefits charity.
|
|
The percentage being donated and the
fact that Humane Ohio is the benefiting organization also will be
listed.
The eBay auction will be completed as normal and upon final
sale of the item, MissionFish will collect Humane Ohio's proceeds
from the eBay seller and will send a check to Humane Ohio.
And, if you love to shop on eBay, look for items with the "Giving
Works" icon next to them -- that means the person selling that item
has chosen to give a portion of the proceeds to a participating
non-profit organization and it just might be Humane Ohio!

What if Humane Ohio earned a penny every time you searched the Internet? Well, now we can! GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates half its revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. You use it just as you would any search engine, and its powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results. Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter Humane Ohio as the charity you want to support. Just 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7300 in a year without anyone spending a dime! And, be sure to spread the word!

Humane Ohio Can Benefit from Old Cell Phones and Printer Cartridges
Humane Ohio collects old cell phones and printer cartridges (laser or ink jet). We turn them into Funding Factory who reprograms, refurbishes or recycles the items we collect. Humane Ohio receives points for each phone or cartridge we turn in, which we can redeem for cash or great prizes like a digital camera. Your cell phone need not be in working order and please remember to have your service shut off before donating the phone. Please drop the phones and cartridges at our clinic or mail them to us at 3131 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo 43613. If you're going to drop them off, please call first to make sure we're there (419-266-5607)
