Coordinate a fundraiser for us
Thank you for your interest in planning a fundraising
event or activity on behalf of Humane Ohio! Your time
and dedication is very much appreciated! Please contact
Humane Ohio at least four weeks before your scheduled
fundraiser to allow for review and approval of your
event or activity. This also will give us sufficient
time to help promote the fundraiser to our supporters
and list it on our Web site! Don't forget to ask your
employer if they have a matching gift program that will
match whatever funds you and/or your colleagues raise
for Humane Ohio!
A barking ovation to businesses and friends who have helped Humane Ohio by fundraising on our behalf or making in-kind donations!!
DoggieDeliveries.com
- Will donate a portion of the proceeds from sales
of their Humane Ohio Birthday Basket! The basket is
available for purchase at DoggieDeliveries.com
and is loaded with homemade birthday treats and toys!
PET SUPPLIES "PLUS" RAISES OVER $3,100 FOR HUMANE OHIO!
Pet Supplies "Plus" - Raised $3,114 for Humane Ohio through the sale of the "Neuter is Cuter" cards! Over the last month (Nov-2006), customers were encouraged to spend $1 on a "Neuter is Cuter" card, they wrote their name or their pet's name on it to show their support of spay/neuter and Pet Supplies "Plus" displayed them in their store windows. Congratulations to the Alexis store for being "Top Dog" and selling $2,039 worth of cards!
Loft & Home Essentials - Raised almost $500 by
donating 10% of their store's proceeds one specific
day and by allowing Humane Ohio to set-up a booth and
collect donations in their parking lot, along with other
animal related vendors. Thanks to Pet Communicator Bryan
Flournoy for donating his time and all of his proceeds!
This event not only raised much needed money, but also
helped promote Humane Ohio and raise awareness of our
organization!
Max
& Erma's - Donated $1,000 worth of gift certificates
to be used as prizes at Stautzenberger College's "Dog
Days of September" event to benefit Humane Ohio! They
also helped us raise money by allowing us to have a
Humane Ohio fundraising night and walk away with 20%
of the proceeds from anyone who dined at Max & Erma's
and turned in the special Max & Erma's/Humane Ohio
flyer.
Petco
- Raised over $1,000 by choosing Humane Ohio as one
of the beneficiaries of the 2004 "Tree of Hope" campaign!
Petco associates gave customers the chance to make a
donation in return for a paper ornament that they could
write their name or their pet’s name on. The ornaments
were displayed in Petco's window. The new Petco store
at Monroe and Talmadge has also invited Humane Ohio
to set-up a booth in their store on numerous occasions
to raise awareness of our organization!

Barry Bagels - Raised over $500 by participating
in our “Pennies for Paws” campaign and placing change
collection buckets in all six Barry Bagels locations!!
So what can YOU do? Here are a few ideas:
- Consider getting your co-workers to gather their change
to donate. You could all decide to pack your lunches for
a week and donate the money you would have spent eating
out!
- Organize a "bring your dog to work day." A group of 8
friends did this at their work places and charged people
$10 to bring their dogs for one day. Their employers matched
their donations and they raised $7,500!
- Have a bake sale at work! Make some cookies or brownies
and sell them. A school sold green cupcakes and plants during
St Patrick's Day week and made $280!
- Celebrate your birthday by asking your friends and family
to make a donation to Humane Ohio in your honor!
- Do you work in a restaurant or retail store? Donate gift
certificates to Humane Ohio! We can use these for prizes
for fundraisers to get needed supplies from places like
home supply and pet stores.
- Do you have a special skill? We are always looking for
help with projects like painting, printing, marketing, photography, writing, and data entry! Put your skills to work by volunteering with Humane Ohio.
