LOOKING FOR DONATED BOOKS!
Have any books taking up space for which you would like to find a new, loving home? Humane Ohio is managing the Book Center at the 577 Foundation. The 577 Foundation is located right on the river at 577 Front Street in Perrysburg. This beautiful estate is open to the public and features a Once Read Book Center which takes donated books and re-sells them at very reasonable prices. The proceeds are split equally between the managing non-profit group, Humane Ohio, and Read for Literacy. The Book Center is open 9am-5pm Monday-Sunday.
June 7th-8th BOOK FAIR
Saturday June 7th: 9:30am-4pm
Sunday June 8th: 10am-4pm
Humane Ohio will hold a Book Fair and Bake Sale event at the Book Center. 100% of the profits from that event benefit Humane Ohio. Last year we earned over $2,500.00! We are looking for high quality, new or gently used books to sell at the Book Fair. Please, support Humane Ohio and come out to shop and donate books at the Book Center between now and June 30th. HUMANE OHIO CAN BENEFIT FROM OLD CELL PHONES AND PRINTER CARTRIDGES!
Humane Ohio is collecting old cell phones and printer cartridges (laser or ink jet). We turn them into Funding Factory who reprograms, refurbishes or recycles the items we collect. Humane Ohio receives points for each phone or cartridge we turn in which we can redeem for cash or great prizes like a digital camera. Your cell phone need not be in working order and please remember to have your service shut off before donating the phone. Please drop the phones and cartridges at our clinic or mail them to us at 5333 Secor Rd., Toledo 43623 (between Laskey and Alexis). If you're going to drop them off, please call first to make sure we're there (419-266-5607)
