Pet Food Bank
Humane Ohio and Toledo’s Pet Bull Project Join Forces for Pet Food Bank
Toledo’s two pet food banks merged together in 2018 in order to better serve the community.
Humane Ohio and Toledo’s PET Bull Project are now partnering together to create Toledo’s biggest Pet Food Bank yet! The two organizations had previously been conducting separate pet food banks just a mile and a half apart. This merger allows both organizations to combine resources, and offer extended food bank hours in one centralized location to the community.
The updated Pet Food Pantry is held at the existing Toledo’s PET Bull Project location, 2249 Tremainsville Rd. An added benefit of this location is that the food bank is conducted on the first floor to allow better access for clients who have difficulty with mobility. Additionally, young people from G.O.A.L., Green Options for Autism of Lucas County, will take part in operating the Pet Food Pantry, helping them learn skills to ready them for the workforce, while helping their community.
You can visit Toledo's Pet Bull Project for more information and current hours of operation.
The Pet Food Pantry is always in need of cat and dog food. Please help if you can by donating food at Toledo’s PET Bull Project, Humane Ohio or in one of the collection bins located throughout our community (see list below). The greatest need is dry dog and cat food and canned cat food.
