As of 2025, Humane Ohio has made a strategic decision to focus more intensely on spay/neuter efforts as a key part of our work, as part of our ongoing commitment to our mission of ending pet homelessness. This means that we will be streamlining our adoption and foster programs to better align with this goal.
Going forward, our adoption program will continue, but on a much smaller scale. We will be accepting cats on a very limited basis, with preference given to those that come into our clinic for spay/neuter. Additionally, we will be reducing the number of foster homes we manage and limiting the number of cats and kittens we take in.
We truly appreciate your support and dedication to our community’s cats, and we thank you for your understanding as we shift our focus to this critical aspect of our mission.
To see our available cats and kittens in person, please fill out an application and schedule an appointment to meet the cat or kitten you are interested in!
All cats and kittens in our adoption program have had age appropriate vaccinations, parasite treatment/prevention, a test for Feline Leukemia and FIV, a microchip and, of course, spay/neuter surgery!
Do you see a cat or kitten you would like to meet? Fill out an application below and one of our adoption volunteers will contact you! If you prefer paper, you can download the Humane Ohio Adoption Application and bring it to the clinic.
