Tonka

Tonka has officially been adopted! This big, lovable character waited a long time for his person, and we are so happy to share that he has found his home. His new family says Tonka had a great first night and has already found the perfect bird-watching spot in the bay window. He has been playing with his laser toy, following his new dad around the house, and apparently even wags his tail almost like a dog. Simon and Ginsburg

Greetings faithful pet lovers, In the photo is Simon and Ginsburg aka Almond and Peanut who we brought home a year ago Saturday. They are the center of our lives. They are great travelers; the car doesn’t phase them and they adjust to hotel rooms easily. When they go outside (supervised) they wear harnesses on a long leash connected to the other to explore. Ted

Ted (formerly named Lector) is the first cat in our program to be adopted after someone saw him in the Adoption Window of our new lobby! Mike recently had to have his cat, Peaches, euthanized due to medical problems and says it was so lonely to come home and not have her there to greet him. He had started to look for a new feline companion, but said he did not expect to adopt so soon. However, when he saw Ted in the adoption window, something just clicked! Ollivander

Tom’s longtime feline friend passed away not too long ago, and he decided he was ready to welcome a new kitty into his home. He originally came to meet two of our kittens, but then he saw the very affectionate and laid-back Ollivander in our adoption room! Ollivander is a special handsome man – he came to us on a transport, and tested positive for FIV (Feline immunodeficiency virus). Unfortunately, the shelter he was visiting us from does not have the resources to accommodate FIV-positive cats, and sending him back would have meant he would have been euthanized.
