Humane Ohio to resume spay/neuter on May 4th with new procedures – No Walk-Ins at this time

Notice - 4/28/20

Humane Ohio will be resuming spay/neuter on a limited basis on Monday, May 4th. Our lobby will be closed to the public and new procedures will be in place for drop off and pick up. We will not be open for walk-in community cats at this stage, but hope to be soon. You are welcome to make an appointment for a community cat if you can ensure you can catch the cat on the day of the appointment.

If you’ve already scheduled an appointment for your pet, we will be in touch with you. We may ask if we can move your appointment to a different day to allow for smaller numbers of people at the clinic (we’ll even be open weekends for the foreseeable future!), or we may just need to inform you of the new procedures we’ll be using.

If you had an appointment that had to be canceled due to the shutdown, you should be hearing from us soon. We will begin reaching out this week, and we will contact each one of you, but please be patient. Over 600 spay/neuter surgeries had to be postponed so it may take a few weeks to get in touch with everyone.

Public adoption events are still suspended for the time being. We do have some great cats and kittens in need of homes, and will continue sharing information about them on social media. The cats are in foster homes and can still be adopted. Please take a look at our adoption page for information on available cats and kittens and to fill out an adoption application.

Thank you for your patience during these uncertain times and stay safe!
